His full name is Curious George of the Jungle and he's like a little boy, he loves girls, specially those with big hair, but he'll sit on a bald headed guy as well. He's got the run of most of the back yard, but when he's loose, a bull in a china shop is no match for his antics.
OMNIVEROUS
This word well describes George, he'll snarf up a grasshopper as well as a lollipop, and the sugar rush is something to see. Normally fruits, vegetables, nuts, bread, milk, and sausages are his normal diet.
CAPUCHIN
This breed is commonly known as the white-faced capuchin, for obvious reason, he looks like he's wearing a monk's robe. He's active (reallll active) during the day, sleeps all night, sort of like the 2 year old he is.
THE TALE OF THE TAIL
It's even better than the arms and legs, he does amazing things with it, and you've never lived until you've had a monkey's tail wrapped around yout face.
TALK TO ME
After you've been around him a while, you can detect the different sounds he makes, what they mean, and he has moods like we all do, sometimes he's friendly, sometimes he's playful, sometimes a showoff on the laundry line, sometimes he just hangs out at his hammock. Sometimes he'll take food from your hand, sometimes you just leave it there for him and he comes and nibbles on it while on his favorite perch. But he's always entertaining. But a barrel of monkeys, now that's too many!
Unfortunately, after 6 wonderful months in our back yard, George has been released in the Cana Blanca Reserve in Golfo Dulce de Osa, where he can be in the wild wth other monkeys. We will always remember him and relish the memories of his brief stay with us.
